Lt Gen. (Marine) Purn. H. Nono Sampono, S.Pi., M.Si (National SAR Agency) came on Thrusday, November 3, 2011 to give a public lecture about “Development of Maritme Potential for Facing Global Communication”
Located at the main building of Tarumanagara University, 11th floor, this public lecture started by singing Indonesia Raya to commomerate Youth Pledge Day on October 28.
Mr. Sampono told that Indonesia is a country with lots of natural treasure. Unfortunately, this treasure wasn’t utilize to the maximum capability. As part of Indonesians, we should be proud with this natural treasure. However, in fact, even some Indonesians destroy forests by illegally cutting trees and catch fishes by using explosives that would kill small fishes too.
This problem also exacerbated by the human resource in Indonesia, especially those officials who misuse the state funds (corruptor). This makes Indonesia “the sinking” nation, because the poor are getting poorer and the rich are getting richer, even prosper. We need to make the awareness. Indonesia should rise from this adversity by knowing what we have. We should be a great nation, because we have power and potential to be it.
