Faculty of Communications Study organized a class with Widyatmoko Kukuh Sanyoto on 3rd of November 2011.
Communication world was developing so fast and there are so many changes in the media. "Bad news is good news". We can say so, but lifestyle, education, and medical news also become more popular. Besides that, politic and business news become not so popular these days. Changes of the news’ body and message distribution also go with it. One simple message can distributed to all people, this thing even go trough the intutition’s internal-external boundary, but it affect everyone.
The one that technology brought is the birth of Social Media, which mean the control move to consumers’ hand. Media, companies, and brands owner lost their control and communications become two-way communication. A conversation between consumers and brand owner/company occurs. The message is not only made by the company, but also involves consumers who want to be involved in adaptation messages. The message is not just made for this type of media, but also reused for a variety of media. Sseparation of content and format happened. Therefore be important in the context of this participation era. Likewise, the convenience and ease of access, becomes essential.
